Hiking, camping and 4WD in the Mojave Desert, Death Valley and Eastern Sierra

These days I'm driving a Toyota FJ Cruiser on desert dirt roads instead of the 10-ton bicycle of all those years past–and then hiking from there. Things change!

I've arrived at the entrance to the Kingston Wash Route!

I camped near here one frosty night in 2011 and had ice in my water in the morning.
