Hiking, camping and 4WD in the Mojave Desert, Death Valley and Eastern Sierra

These days I'm driving a Toyota FJ Cruiser on desert dirt roads instead of the 10-ton bicycle of all those years past–and then hiking from there. Things change!

I'm poking around here, looking for water, but Cowtrack Spring is dry

I see increased vegetation and feel some moisture in the area, so perhaps there is water here at Cowtrack Spring during the wetter times of the year.
